Classic Quebecois crime drama returns to Tarragon...

On April 8th, 1987, Toronto audiences at the Tarragon Theatre bore witness to the English translation of an incredible crime drama from a then new up-in-coming French Canadian playwright. According to Robert Crew of the Toronto Star, "René-Daniel Dubois pens a remarkable play (...) that gives Toronto audiences a first glimpse of the power and passion of a major new voice from Québec." The play then became a hit in London and New York and was then also translated into Italian, Parisian French and Catalan. Now after 23 years, a new cast dares to expose this same crime of passion at the 2010 Toronto Fringe Festival in the same theatre where the English edition of this phenomenon began.
